Player Data and Removal Policy

What Scoutboard holds

Scoutboard's player catalog contains publicly reported information about high school football players: name, high school, city and state, graduating class, position, and where available, height, weight, and honors such as all-conference selections, and, where published, statistics and links to game film. Every record links to the public source it came from, typically a newspaper article or a published team roster. All of it comes from public sources.

We do not collect or store contact information or home addresses for athletes under 18. We do not collect or store grades, transcripts, film evaluations, or anything shared privately. If it was not published publicly, it is not in Scoutboard's public player catalog. (Records a team or coaching staff enters for its own private use are separate, visible only to that team, and covered by our Privacy Policy.)

Requesting removal

A player, their parent or legal guardian, or a school official may ask us to remove a player's record at any time, for any reason. No justification is required.

Email privacy@scoutboard.com with the player's name, school, and graduating class. We may reply with one question to confirm you are the player or someone acting on their behalf.

What happens next

Within 7 days of verifying the request, and usually much sooner:

  1. The player's record is removed from Scoutboard. It no longer appears in search, browsing, or any coach-facing feature.
  2. The player is added to a permanent exclusion list. Our data process checks this list before adding any player, so the record will not reappear when we review future published sources.

We will confirm by email when both steps are complete.
